Not many have been privy to the fact that over the past month or so, filmmaker Karan Johar has been setting a plan in motion, making several calls and taking frequent trips, to facilitate a meeting between several of Bollywood’s young stars and fellow filmmakers with the nation’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Today, that plan finally bore fruit, with a Bollywood delegation, including, Rohit Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Ayushmann Khurrana, Siddharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Varun Dhawan, greeted PM Modi.
A courtesy meeting turned into a very uplifting dialogue. Talked about how the industry has always played an important role building a better nation, a better society through entertainment. Spokeabout various issues concerning the Industry and thanked and acknowledged PM for GST change and giving space to the industry to connect.
Many interesting ideas were discussed and the young delegation is excited to contribute more with greater energy for the country.
