Yamla Pagla Deewana again witnessed deplorable footfalls on day two at the box-ofice as the film barely managed any growth that could have probably pushed it toward at least a below average total after its atrocious opening. The latest Deol family venture just managed to collect a meager Rs. 2 crore nett on its second day, taking its 2-day total to a measly Rs. 3.82 crore nett.
|Day-Wise||Nett Collection (INR)|
|Day One (Friday)||1.82 crore|
|Day Two (Saturday)||2 crore|
The writing was on the wall for Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se from the onset with the ubiquitous negative reviews, which soon translated into lackluster word-of-mouth. Even diehard fans of the Deols – of which there are still plenty – couldn’t stomach this train wreck of a film, and the box-office numbers prove it. We don’t see the film picking up from here, and a 10 crore nett lifetime is what it’ll probably fold up at best. The satellite, digital, and music rights have fetched a huge amount for the producers, but the theatrical returns hardly justify the profits.
