When Bollywood’s superstar heroines acted together

feature

They say that two actresses can never be friends, but this is nothing but a misogynistic myth that has been repeatedly shattered in the world of cinema, especially in Bollywood. Time and again, some of Bollywood’s most-beautiful and accomplished heroines have collaborated on the same project to give us some of Indian cinema’s finest characters and films, which is not only a reflection of their dexterity, but also an extension of their camaraderie from real to reel life. After all, even if these actresses haven’t been thick as thieves in actual life, it would have been nigh impossible for them to keep acting with each other, and be part of such wonderful film, had their relationships been anything less than cordial off screen.

We bring you five superstar heroine combos of Bollywood, who’ve frequently shared screen space together:

(Note: We aren’t listing those films in which one star actress only plays a cameo.)

A.) Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta

One-of-the-most common heroine pairs in the early 2000s, Rani and Preity came together four times on screen, with the audience cheering for their chemistry more vociferously each time.
