After four days of a statewide shutdown, the theaters in Tamil Nadu have finally reopened from today morning (7th July 2017). This comes after the state government has withdrawn its decision to implement an additional 20% municipal tax to the already existing GST on Tamil film.
The announcement comes as immense relief to films like Vanamagan, AAA, and Ivan Thanthiran, which were left in the cold after opening days prior to the shutdown coming into effect.
We’re sure everyone involved with these films along with regular moviegoers will be rejoicing at the good news.
