Sidharth Malhotra’s avatar in ‘Jabariya Jodi’ is one that we have never before seen him in as he portrays the role of a ‘Bihari Boy’ where his business is groom kidnapping. The actor is shown to be a dedicated devotee of Lord Shiva as seen in various parts of the trailer where he dons a Shiva tattoo, clearly visible on his right arm. We also see him smoking a ‘Chillum’ on multiple occasions and even playing a ‘damru’ which is known as the musical instrument of Shiva.

Sidharth Malhotra has gone through multiple changes to get into the character of Abhay Singh for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ such as interacting with people who are actually in the business of groom kidnapping, studying the behavior of Bhari people and learning their accent. His character in the movie has been inspired by the real Bahubali’s of Bihar and is an amalgamation of many such people.

Not only the trailer but also the film’s songs have become an instant rage. From Khadke Glassy, a revamped version of Honey Singh’s first popular chartbuster, to Zilla Hillela, the famous folk song with a ‘Jabariya twist’ and the love ballad, Dhoonde Ankhiyaan, everything has struck a right chord with music lovers.

Shot at real locations, Jabariya Jodi also boasts of a stellar ensemble cast featuring performers like Aparshakti Khurana, Sanjay Mishra, Javed Jaffrey, Neeraj Sood, Gopal Dutt and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
