There’s no stopping Stree as it continues to unleash its spell at the box-office. The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer has once again exceeded expectation it its fifth weekend, collecting Rs. 2.91 crore nett from its fifth Friday to fifth Sunday, which pushed its overall total to a stupendous Rs. 125.57 crore nett. The blockbuster business of Stree has also overtaken another sleeper blockbuster this year, Alia Bhatt’s Raazi, thus becoming the top-earning Bollywood film of all time with a central female character.
With the brilliant run that Stree’s having at the box-office, Shraddha Kapoor has come roaring back into form with her highest grosser yet and third 100-crore film after ABCD 2 and Ek Villain – her fan-following and pan-India popularity, which few actresses today enjoy, were never really in question; just her script choices – while also giving Rajkummar Rao his first big hit as a solo male lead. The film still has some legs before completing its dream run, and should fold around the 128-129 crore mark.
