It was 2007 when Jab We Met had released to high praise from both audiences and critics, and Shahid Kapoor finally got a much-needed hit, not to mention a role that made everyone take notice of his acting chops. Now, ten years after casting a romantic spell on moviegoers, Shahid and Director Imtiaz Ali will be reuniting for a film and we are as excited as them about working together again.
Imitiaz had approached Shahid a while ago with a script that he absolutely loved and had no hesitation giving his consent to. They’ll begin shooting the film soon after the actor wraps up Director Shree Narayan Singh’s (Toilet: Ek Prem Katha) Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Speaking about the film at a recent event, Shahid said that all he could reveal at the moment was that it’s an extremely interesting concept, which he was eager to be a part of, especially since it was offered to him by the man who gave him a film at the beginning of his career, which people talk about to this day.
Well, this certainly looks like one movie to look forward to.
