Salman Khan has always been a fitness freak, having been the first actor to sport washboard abs in Bollywood, and continues to maintain a rock-solid physique despite the inevitable constraints of age and a deteriorating metabolism. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he’s looking like a million bucks in Tiger Zinda Hai, with both his fans and the neutral audience gushing over his bulging biceps, broad chest, and hulking shoulders.
Salman is looking the fittest he has in since Sultan, ready to dive into impossible missions headlong as the super-spy, Tiger. The jaw-dropping, death-defying stunts that the actor has pulled off in inhospitable conditions from the sweltering Middle Eastern deserts to the frigid climes of the Alps are also testimony to how good shape he’s in. And to achieve these supreme fitness levels, Salman went above and beyond his regular workout routines and diet patterns.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar, who also helmed Sultan, graciously revealed how the superstar went the extra yard with his training and diet regime to be in impeccable shape for Tiger Zinda Hai.
“Salman has really pushed himself for the part. It's incredible and inspiring to see the biggest superstar of the country go through the grind every single day to maintain the awe-inspiring fitness levels that he has for Tiger. Salman has not just trained. Actually we should say that he's killed himself for about three months at the gym before the shoot began. Altitude training is something that Salman had to do given the fact that we were shooting in the Alps and needed to pull off some daring stunts with him. During the shoot, be it the middle of a desert or on top of snow-capped mountains, Salman was training every day. He used to ride his cycle to the set and we all know it’s not easy to cycle in such harsh environments. He used to easily ride for more than 10 kilometres daily to get to the set. He had worked out his own exercise regime given the limited options. Also, Salman’s diet was incredible. His diet kept him light and agile and he paid minute attention to whatever he was eating. The cheat day came in the last schedule of Greece.”
