We had recently reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor are all but certain to come on board for the sequel to Life in a Metro. Well, another extremely talented young actor now looks all set to join them. Anurag Basu, who’s now confirmed to return as the Director for the sequel, has been approached for the second installment by the filmmaker, and the actor should sign on the dotted line soon. Sources close to the Director reveal that his decision to cast Rajkummar stems from how impressed he’s been with the actor’s performances of late.
Rajkummar Rao has a mighty impressive slate of films lined up with Stree and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga this year, followed by Mental Hai Kya, Made in China, and now, Life in a Metro part 2 next year. The actor seems to be on the wish-list of every filmmaker, and we there are few in the industry who deserve it more than him.
So, we now know for sure that the Life in a Metro sequel is going to be an ensemble drama – just like the first film was – as this much wasn’t clear when only Kareena and Arjun were on board.
