But looks like the long wait is finally over. According to reports, the trailer of Raees will be released on 7th of December. And, the launch will be nothing short of epic; since the film has been shot in these nine cities, namely Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai, Moga (Punjab) and Ahmedabad;SRK will address his fans via videoconference. The best part is, Shah Rukh Khan along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar has handpicked these 9 Indian cities. Well, SRK never disappoints his fans which is why the trailer of Raees will be streamed in 3,500 screens across India and to make this even better, he will be accompanied by none other than, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the trailer launch. Apparently, SRK wanted to reach as many people as possible and that is why he came up with the idea of interacting with the audience through video conferencing. This way the film trailer will not only reach the big cities but also to the audience in the smaller cities.
A source reveals, “It’s a film which is different from the content that either Excel or SRK are known for. The attempt seems to take this content to a wider range of audience”. Shah Rukh Khan claims, “We wanted to reach out and engage with a pan-India audience, rather than confining it to just a single city. We are really excited to interact with thousands of people across cities, big and small, simultaneously by having a live chat with audiences in cinemas”.
This unique way of launching the film’s trailer will mark its beginning of promotional activities. Raees is based on the life of bootlegger Abdul Latif, who used to operate from Ahemdabad. The film also stars Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Raees is slated for release on 26th of January.
