After raking in the moolah in an opening weekend that exceeded all expectations, Raazi has slotted itself in nicely for the long haul as it posted a strong hold on its first Monday. The Alia Bhatt starrer has brought in Rs. 6.30 crore nett on Monday – a mere 16.33% drop vis-à-vis Friday – confirming that it’s one of those rare female-centric films that has found pan-India acceptance. The only other ones that saw this level of box-office performance all over the country are Tanu Weds Manu Returns (franchise appeal), The Dirty Picture (oomph factor), Mary Kom, and Kahaani.
|Day-Wise||Nett Collection (INR)|
|Day One (Friday)||7.53 crore|
|Day Two (Saturday)||11.30 crore|
|Day Three (Sunday)||14.11 crore|
|Day Four (Monday)||6.30 crore|
Raazi is now looking at a first-week total anywhere in the 52-53 crore range. The film is already a clean hit, but depending on the growth in its second weekend, it has a strong chance of going on to be a superhit, too.
