Bumble hosts a dinner in Pune to celebrate the launch of Bumble in India. With the mission to empower young women worldwide, Bumble offers a non-judgmental, digital platform of confidence and comfort as users connect with good people all around them for work, friendship and for love.
Bumble, the leading women-first social networking platform with over 50 million users worldwide was recently launched in India by global icon, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Priyanka Chopra Jonas who joined the Bumble Founder & CEO, Whitney Wolfe Herd in spearheading this mission.
After inspiring intimate dinners at Delhi’s Bikaner House, Mumbai’s Soho House, and Bangalore’s Ritz Hotel, Bumble hosted a party at The Daily Bar in Pune. The high profile dinner hosted by ambassadors Anusha Dandekar & Karan Kundrra, was packed with Pune’s most inspiring and influential crowd including young achievers, entrepreneurs, local influencers and socialites.
“Bumble’s mission is very close to my heart because I’ve been trolled online and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through that. That’s why I believe if you are looking for love, friendship or a safe work environment, Bumble is that place where women feel comfortable connecting online! It’s so refreshing to know that you can’t fake it and hide behind a screen on Bumble. They have put so many features in place to make sure that women especially feel comfortable to connect,” says Anusha Dandekar, ambassador for Bumble India.
Karan Kundrra, ambassador for Bumble India adds, “Women are often judged in the real world for making first moves whether that’s in the work place or in relationships. Instead of being labeled as intelligent, confident or in love, they are given a negative label like “loose” and that’s not ok! It’s high time things change and Bumble is the perfect example of a mission-driven company that is changing the way women are treated online and offline. On Bumble, women can make the first move in a secure and non-judgemental environment. It makes me so proud to be apart of the Bumble Hive because I’ve grown up with boss women in my home and I’ve been inspired by them and aspire to be like them everyday!”
Bumble recently celebrated that women in India have made the first move over 1.5 million times on Bumble. The Bumble app is available in both “Hinglish” and Hindi for iOS and Android. The app is free and available to download in the App Store and Google Play.
