Despite a slow start, October still held promise to recover its costs owing to strong growth over the weekend, followed by minimal drops over the weekdays. However, the chances of it emerging a success was still a very long shot, considering how far the film still had to go. But, they say that the box-office is one-of-the-most unpredictable beasts, and it has proven this yet again courtesy the humongous jumps the Varun Dhawan starrer has seen over its second weekend.
The film received a gargantuan 80.95% boost on its second Saturday, followed by further good growth on its second Sunday, to finish its second weekend with a scarcely believable Rs. 9.20 crore nett, and take hitherto its collection to a more-than-respectable 39.44 crore nett.
|Day-Wise||Nett Collection )INR)|
|Week One||30.24 crore|
|Second Friday||1.89 crore|
|Second Saturday||3.42 crore|
|Second Sunday||3.89 crore|
|Weekend Two||9.20 crore|
With no major release this week, October has another uninterrupted run till the Hollywood biggies, Avengers: Infinity War hits screens. Nevertheless, the film is already a decent success, and in spite of the release of Avengers, it still has an outside chance to scrape though to the 50-crore mark and be decalred a clean hit by the trade.
