Nayanthara’s Dora Finishes Week One On An Above Average Note

After taking more than a decent start at the box-office, Nayanthar’s Dora fell away over the rest of the weekend to set alarm bells ringing among its producers and distributors. However, the film managed to hold steadily through its weekdays to finish week one with a respectable gross of Rs. 9.5 crore at the worldwide box-office, which should make its investor just about satisfied.

Day-Wise Gross Collection (INR)
Day One (Friday) 2.30 crore
Day Two (Saturday) 1.50 crore
Day Three (Sunday) 1.80 crore
Rest of the Week 3.90 crore
Week One Total 9.50 crore

Though the film was been affected by the average reviews and mixed word-of-mouth, it still managed a face-saving performance till now owing to Lady Superstar Nayanthara’s star power. With Kavan still doing well and Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai hitting screens from this Friday, Dora should end its lifetime run with a gross of Rs. 11-12 crore and be declared as an above-average grosser at the box-office.
