Multi-Starrers Of 2017 We’sRe Eagerly Looking Forward To

NEWS

There was a time when Indian films used to boast of huge star casts, featuring two or, at times, even three leading heroes and/or heroines in a film. Sadly, those days seem to be behind us now, barring rare instances like Baahubali or Dilwale.

However, just as every cloud has a silver lining, 2017 looks to be the year that brings back the multi-starrer with a vengeance, with as many as six such films up for release. If you’re a hardcore movie-buff, then these films have got to be high on your radar.

1.) Padmavati

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor team up for a historical epic under Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s direction. That statement alone is enough to get anybody into the theater.

2.) Vikram Vedha

A crime thriller where R. Madhavan plays an encounter specialist and Vijay Sethupathi, a gangster. The teaser gave us a glimpse of the fiery face-off we can expect between the two, and now we can’t wait to see them lock horns in the film.

3.) Baadshaho

Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, and Vidyut Jammwal in a heist film set during the Emergency and helmed by Milan Luthria of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture fame please take our money already.

4.) Imaikkaa Nodigal

Lady Superstar plays a cop/mom who also happens to be Atharvaa’s sister, who’s in love with Raashi Khanna, whereas Vijay Sethupathi loves Nayanthara, though nothing is as it seems in this romantic thriller. With such an A-list cast and a murky plot to boot, we expect this to be a winner all the way.

5.) Mubarakan

This appears to be a big, loud, madcap comedy filled with boisterous Punjabi characters that are being portrayed by the likes of Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, and Athiya Shetty. As long as it succeeds in tickling our funny bone, we’d be more than pleased.

So which has caught your fancy the most?
