Mortal Engines movie review: The metallic junk of these engines is better than most post-apocalyptic junk out there

Bollywood Review

Mortal Engines is cool, stylish, visually arresting, action-packed, and boasts one of the better air-battle sequences since 1996’s Independence Day.

Additionally, it doubles as one of the more refreshing additions to the oft cluttered post-apocalyptic sub-genre of sci-fi, despite succumbing to some of its cliches and predictability toward the end. Also, it must be said that though the world-building is spectacular, a bit more attention could have been paid to character development and back-stories.

Nevertheless, this is an enjoyable futuristic adventure and a welcome throwback to the almost forgotten steampunk style of sci-fi.
