Among the three new Hindi releases this week, only Manmarziyaan has managed some sort of opening that gives it hope for the future, while the other two films, Mitron and Love Sonia, are out-an-out washouts from day one itself, with both films not even managing to collect 50 lakh nett on day one. Both these films have been flat-out rejected by the audience despite getting pretty good reviews. Love Sonia was never going to appeal to the masses, but Mitron could consider itself unlucky since the marketing campaign, trailer, and leading man didn’t manage to generate the necessary buzz.
|Film||Day One Nett Collection (INR)|
|Love Sonia||25 lakh|
Even miraculous jumps cannot save Mitron or Love Sonia now from being box-office disasters.
