Whatever concerns the investors of Kaabil may have had about the film’s collections dropping during the weekdays, after Monday’s collections took a hit, can be put to rest as the film has not only managed to hold well on Tuesday, but has also seen a miniscule spike in its figures. With Rs. 6.10 crore nett on day seven, the Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer has taken its collection up to Rs. 79.60 crore nett at the domestic box-office, which was no doubt been buoyed by the giant leaps it took on its holidays.
|Day-Wise||Collections in Nett (INR)|
|Day One (Wednesday)||10.43 crore|
|Day Two (Thursdayy/National Holiday)||18.67 crore|
|Day Three (Friday)||9.77 crore|
|Day Four (Weekend)||13.54 crore|
|Day Five (Weekend)||15.05 crore|
|Day Six (Monday)||6.04 crore|
|Day Seven (Tuesday)||6.10 crore|
The Sanjay Gupta film has gone past Krrish to become Hrithik’s sixth-highest grosser of all time, and should overtake both Dhoom 2 and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara by the end of its run to finish as his fourth-highest grosser.
|Film||Collections in Nett (INR)|
|Krrish 3||244 crore|
|Bang Bang||181 crore|
|Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara||93 crore|
|Dhoom 2||82.30 crore|
|Jodhaa Akbar||62.80 crore|
Whether Kaabil manages to become the actor’s fourth film in the 100-crore club remains to be seen. For now, it seems like a safe bet to assume that the film will at least emerge a clean hit in the trade by the start of its second week.
