The John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha starrer, Force 2, which releases this Friday, looks to be a stylish ride of action, thrills, and high-stakes espionage. In fact, the first glimpses of the film’s adrenaline-pumping stunts and slick spy stuff shown in the trailer had already sent our pulses racing, and if the final product lives up to expectations, then Force 2 could very well turn out to be India’s very own Mission Impossible.
Follow-up to a Well-Received Action Film
When Force released back in 2011, it was regarded as one of the better action films to emerge from Bollywood. We expect the makers to raise the bar with both the script and production values this time around.
John and Sonakshi’s Action Avatars
John takes to action better than he does to any other genre, and Sonakshi has just displayed a flair for the genre with her last film, Akira. The chase scenes and stunts are the USP of the Force series, and you can bet that the makes have left no stone unturned in ensuring that they’ll given you an even bigger rush than last time. Couple these elements with edge-of-the-seat espionage thrills, and you have a recipe ripe for a desi version of Mission Impossible or even Jason Bourne.
Tahir Raj Bhasin – the Unlikely Villain
When Tahir had debuted in Mardaani, he stunned everyone with his unexpectedly creepy performance, which was in stark contrast to his congenial appearance. If the promo is anything to go by, then Tahir looks to have upped his creepy game for his second outing.
Based on Real-Life Agents and Incidents
John Abraham, who’s also the film’s co-producer, has categorically stated that the film has been based on several true incident and actual agents of the country, who remain unsung because of the covert nature of their work. The film’s patriotic fervor is sure to touch a nerve with the audience, considering the recent tragic attack on our soldiers.
We know what we’ll be doing this weekend. Munching a bucketful of crispy popcorn while watching Force 2 in a theater near us. What about you guys?
The film releases on 18th November 2016.
