Harshvardhan Kapoor And Filmfare Are Locked In An Ugly Twitter Battle

Harshvardhan Kapoor recently expressed disappointment over losing the Best Debut Filmfare Award (Male) to Diljit Dosanjh, citing that he couldn’t fathom how the award was given to an actor who technically isn’t a debutant. For those who aren’t aware, Dosanjh is a superstar of Punjabi cinema, with several Punjabi films under his belt before he acted in Udta Punjab. He even backed his disapproval by presenting a hypothesis of whether Oscar-winner Leonardo Di Caprio would also be considered a debutant if he does a movie in Bollywood?

While he does have a valid point, it hasn’t gone down well with one of the senior editors of Filmfare magazine, who was quick to deliver a stinging reproach on Twitter, without taking names.

Not one to take it lying down, Harshvardhan was quick to remonstrate with a series of scathing tweets.

Harshvardhan further validated his argument by tweeting that he would have been happy to lose to someone like Jim Sarbh for Neerja, since he, too, was a debutant last year.

Wow…that surely turned ugly fast.
