Aascar Ravichandran, who bankrolled Shankar’s prestigious I which released last year, is currently in a tough spot, as he has lost his property and belongings due to a financial blow.
The producer has reportedly been ripped off his house and prized possessions, following the inability to repay the loans taken in advance.
This has now affected the progress of Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam 2, which has been lying in the cans for quite a while. Though Kamal has already completed close to 80% of the shoot, the non availability of funds is taking the project nowhere. Kamal is said to be in talks with a foreign based company to come forward and bare the remaining costs of the film.
