Did You Know That Kriti Sanon Had Debuted In A Telugu Film Opposite Mahesh Babu

Kriti Sanon is easily one-of-the-fastest rising stars today in Bollywood. In a short span, she has amassed a sizeable fan-following; been part of some fairly successful films like Heropanti and Dilwale; has acted alongside the likes of Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Kajol, and Shah Rukh Khan no less; and has an enviable list of upcoming projects in her kitty. IN short, Kriti has become a Bollywood darling in no time.

However, did you know that this pretty and talented actress hadn’t begun her cinematic innings in Bollywood? Before entering the Hindi film industry, Kriti was already a darling in Tollywood because she had made her film debut opposite one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars, Mahesh Babu, in a film called 1: Nenokkadine. Miss Sanon had starred as a journalist and Mahesh Babu’s love interest, who helps the latter investigate his parents’ murder as he’s missing 25% of his brain’s gray matter – more specifically, his entire memory related to the day of his parents’ death.

Though the film wasn’t a runaway hit, it did enough to get Kriti recognized in the Telugu film inudstry, which led to her bagging another role in Tollywood, opposite another popular hero, Naga Chaitanya, in a film called Dohchay. The film released a year after Kriti made her Bollywood debut opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti, and had gone on to be a clean hit. And just because we’re feeling generous, we’ll share one of Kriti’s songs from her sophomore Telugu vehicle, too.

These days, Kriti is more focused on her Bollywood career, with some interesting projects like Bareilly Ki Barfi on the way. But after seeing how effortlessly she had made her mark in Tollywood, with that effervescent screen presence and 1000 watt smile of hers, we’re sure that her Telugu fans must be missing Kriti Sanon no end.
