The cast of the sequel to Life in a Metro seemed locked and loaded until a few days ago, with Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Parineeti Chopra, Rajkummar Rao, Ishaan Khatter on board to play pivotal parts in the ensemble drama. However, it now looks like Taapsee will have to be replaced owing to date issues.
Reports claim that Taapsse, who’s inundated with work of late post her successful outings and noteworthy performances in films like Pink, Judwaa 2, and Mulk, which is why making time for Life in a Metro 2 became unfeasible. When the actress realized the dilemma facing her, she wasted no time discussing the issue with producer-Director Anurag Basu, who readily agreed to amicably part ways with Taapsee. Fortunately, Basu had earlier discussed the project with Fatima Sana Shaikh, and wasted no time in bringing her on board.
Dangal, followed by Thugs of Hindostan, and now a multi-starrer like Life in a Metro 2 – we must say that Fatima is certainly taking rapid strides in Bollywood. Kudos to her
