Now that Salman Khan has confirmed that Dabangg 3 will be going on floors soon and Sonakshi Sinha has also been confirmed to return as the film’s leading lady, everybody is curious to know when the third installment of the blockbuster franchise will hit screens. Of course, it can’t be the superstar’s favourite festive weekend as his next, Bharat, has already been booked for the Eid 2019. There’s also the small matter of the film having not yet gone on floors. So when will we get to see Chulbul Pandey back in action?
Reportedly, Salman has booked another major festive weekend for Dabangg 3. Word is that the actor has already spoken to a major distribution studio, plus some local distributors for the interiors, and they’ve in turn informed exhibitors across the country to keep Christmas 2019 clear for the third entry in the Dabangg franchise. Salman feels that a 6-month gap between Bharat and Dabangg 3 is sufficient to get audiences back in theaters as the strategy had worked for Tiger Zinda Hai, which, too, had hit screens about six months after Tubelight.
Even though Tubelight failed at the box-office, which has increased the excitement for TZH, we are in concurrence with Salman on this one as we see no reason why two big films, starting the same big name, can’t do equally well with a 6-month gap if both are appreciated. Also, Dabangg 3 would enjoy a 5-day extended weekend since Christmas next year falls on a Wednesday.
