First there were reports that Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan would come together for a YRF project titled Thug, in which Big B was to play Hrithik’s father. However, soon after it was being heard that Hrithik had quit the project, and Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has replaced him, though there were no official announcements.
Senior Bachchan has now confirmed sharing screen space with Aamir. Bollywood Hungama quoted him saying, “I don’t know if I can talk much about the film at this moment. I haven’t been given permission. All I can say is that it is a very exciting subject.” He also added, “It’s a great honour and privilege to be working with Aamir and to be working with Yashraj again and also to work with Victor, I just look forward to that moment.”
As Mr. Bachchan said, ‘Thug’ hasn’t yet been finalized as the title, and in due time YRF will make an announcement about it. Well, Big B has a very busy year ahead. As he himself confirmed, he shall be a part of Sarkaar 3. Also, there’s a film with Balki in the pipeline, and another with Sujoy Ghosh’s production house which will be helmed by Sujoy himself or Ribhu Dasgupta. Also, a YRF film with Varun Dhawan is on the cards.
The actor will next be seen in Pink, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. Pink releases on 16th September.
