Bharat To Have Salman Khan Paying Tribute To Raj Kapoor’sS Mera Naam Joker


It’s no secret any more that Salman Khan’s next 2019 Eid release, Bharat – an official desi adaptation of Korean film Ode to my Father – will span sixty years from post India’s independence to present times. However, every new development about the film from its casting choices to Salman’s five different looks to the locations has added to the anticipation surrounding the project, and on that note, this latest tidbit about the film should ratchet the excitement further.

It has been learned that Bharat will have an important segment set in a circus, which will be a direct tribute to Raj Kapoor’s cult film, Mera Naam Joker, with Salman paying homage to the Indian cinematic legend. In fact, both Salman and Director Ali Abbas Zafar have already been seeking inputs for the circus segment from another legend, Dharmendra, whom Salman is extremely close to and who had worked with Raj Kapoor in the film.

We had already disclosed that Disha Patani would be playng a trapeze artist in the film, and this latest revelation has made Bharat all the more interesting.
