Bharat Ane Nenu has held exceedingly well on day two to prove that it’s thunderous opening was no flash in the pan a la SPYder (Mahesh Babu’s previous release). The film has grossed Rs. 100.25 crore worldwide in just two days, making it the fastest South Indian movie to the milestone after Baahubali 2 while also reiterating the face that good content plus strong reviews plus positive word-of-mouth plus a superstar name will always translate into mega-bucks at the box-office.
|Day-Wise||Worldwide Gross (INR)|
|Day One (Friday)||56.25 crore|
|Day Two (Saturday)||44 crore|
Prince’s latest release has gone a long way in obliterating the sour after last left by his last two films, Brahmotsavam and SPYder, renewing distributors’ faith in him big time. Current trends suggest that Bharat Ane Nenu looks set to have long legs at the box-office, and even has a strong chance of overtaking Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam as the third-highest Tollywood grosser of all time (a record set just earlier this year) after Baahubali: The Conclusion and Baahubali: The Beginning. In fact, it could also be Telugu cinema’s first 200-crore grosser outside the Baahubali films.
