The year keeps getting better-and-better for Bollywood as Baaghi 2 is now officially the third blockbuster of 2018 after Padmaavat and Sony Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The Tiger Shroff starrer has also entered the 150-crore club against a distribution cost of 50 crore, earning its distributors a turnoer of 75 crore, of which 25 crore is pure profit. It’s also Tiger’s first 150-crore film and first blockbuster, rapidly skyrocketing his stock among his contemporaries.
|Week-Wise||Nett Collection (INR)|
|Week One||112.85 crore|
|Week Two||35.60 crore|
|Third Friday||1.75 crore|
The film is still trending quite well due to extremely positive word-of-mouth, in spite of competition from a new release like Varun Dhawan’s October. Then again, the audience for both films is poles apart as was the case with last week’s Irrfan Khan starrer, Blackmail. So Baaghi 2 isn’t really being affected by either the new release or the holdover. It’s also a testament to how the audience is king as the general reviews for Baaghi 2 painted an entirely different picture.
