Even as its nearing the end of its historic run in India, Avengers: Infinity War has added another feather to its cap by surpassing the 225-crore mark, though it fell just short of Chennai Express’ lifetime total of 227.13 crore. Nevertheless with Rs. 225.03 crore nett in its kitty, Infinity War has entered the top ten highest grossers of Bollywood in the Indian market, and should be a part of the club at least till a couple of weeks after the release of Race 3, provided that film is well received.
|Film||Lifetime Nett Collection (INR)|
|Tiger Zinda Hai||339.16 crore|
|Bajrangi Bhaijaan||320.34 crore|
|Dhoom 3||284.27 crore|
|Chennai Express||227.13 crore|
|Avengers: Infinity War||225.03 crore|
Bollywood better pull its socks up and fast before Hollywood, and its superhero film in particular, eats further into the local market.
