After running successfully in theaters for over a month, An Insignificant Man, is garnering much love, digitally, too, with the documentary having crossed more than a million views on YouTube. The film had been hailed by critics and loved by audience across mediums upon its release. Centered on the rise of the political outfit, the Aam Aadmi Party and its polarizing chief, Arvind Kejriwal; An Insignificant Man, had released online for free on Vice YouTube, on 20th December 2017, and since then, has been viewed extensively till date.
Released in India on 17th November 2017 on merely 25 screens, the thrilling documentary was later expanded to as many 60 screens due to massive audience demand. Besides an impressive reception in metropolitan cities, it also garnered love from smaller cities and towns such as Dehradun and Latur, which itself proves the kind of reception it got. In fact, it enjoyed quite a good box-office in spite of being a documentary film.
An Insignificant Man premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and has traveled to other prestigious film fests like the BFI London Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. The film was picked up by global media giant Vice for iternational distribution. Directed by Khushboo Ranka and Vinay Shukla, and produced by Anand Gandhi; An Insignificant Man has enjoyed a good theatrical run and it's now carrying forward that success to the digital platform.
