Time and again, Akshay Kumar has made significant contribution towards causes like Insurance for stuntmen, contributions for army martyrs and development of Bharat Ke Veer app which increased our respect for him manifold.

And now, the actor has once again done something which truly sets an example. While most of the Industry was partying on Diwali, the actor made a contribution of 25 lakhs for families of 103 army and police personnel. This was made in coordination with IGP Vishwas Nangre Patil.

The office told PTI, “Akshay Kumar sent a cheque of Rs 25,000 and a signed letter to each of the families, which we delivered. Akshay recently sent me a photograph of a small girl weeping beside the coffin of her father. When I broached the subject of helping the slain policemen’s families, the actor promptly decided to chip in. We are happy that our initiative has made the Diwali of the martyrs’ families sweeter.”

In the letter, Akshay wrote, ““I am aware that you must be recalling their lovely memories during Diwali. The tragedy that has befallen your family is immense and I pray to god that you overcome this tragedy with fortitude and usher in the New Year. I wish to offer sweets and a small gift for the children to buy books. I request you to accept them.”

What a lovely gesture indeed.
