Ever since Aiyaary has been announced, it’s making news for all the right reasons. The film, which revolves around two strong-minded army officers sharing a mentor-protégé bond, has piqued curiosity all over, with both Sidharth Malhotra and Manoh Bajpayee’s looks being immensely appreciated. So, Director Neeraj Pandey feels that it’s the right time to release the first look of the movie and drive curiosity further, and he couldn’t have chosen a better date.
Pandey has zeroed in on the 16th of December 2017, which also happens to be Vijay Diwas in India, marking the Indian Army’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which in turn resulted in the formation of Bangladesh. Given the theme of the film and the identity of its two central characters, Pandey appears have chosen the perfect occasion to launch the first look of Aiyaary. Pandey cites the significance of Vijay Diwas and his team’s intention to dedicate the movie to all military personnel and their families as the prime reasons behind opting for the date
“Vijay Diwas is a very significant day for the military troops of our country. It’s a tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the victory of India in 1971. We thought, what better day than this to release the poster of our film, Aiyaary. We dedicate it to our military troops and their brave families.”
Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Plan C Studios, Aiyaary is produced by Shital Bhatia under the Friday Filmworks Production banner. It’s scheduled to release on 26th January 2018.
