The biggest superstar of Bollywood actually had to struggle a lot to get recognised. Though he was from a well-to-do family and his father was a coveted poet, Amitabh never really was given a red-carpet invite to act in films. Prior to his debut in films, he worked as an executive in a shipping firm and later as a freight broker in another firm. He also was denied a job at All India Radio because of his voice.

Superstar Rajinikanth who rules over the hearts of his huge fan-following had a very humble beginning. He worked as a bus conductor with Bangalore Transport Services and then started working in stage plays. From there, he struggled, became an actor and has now reached the status of God of South Indian cinema.

Akshay Kumars story is no less than a plot of a Bollywood film. He went to Bangkok to learn Martial Arts, where he worked as a waiter and later, a chef. He returned to India, but the struggle was not over. He started as a martial arts trainer and then got some modelling assignments after which he got his first break in films.

Boman was a waiter and a room service attendant at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. He also helped his mother in her bakery business. Later on he took up photography as profession. Before Munnabhai MBBS came his way, he was doing theatre in Mumbai as well.

Now touted as one of the finest actors of the country, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was once a chemist with a petrochemical company. He also worked as a watchman at a theatre in Delhi where he developed interest in acting. He afterwards went on to join National School of Drama and later got break in Bollywood.

Parineeti Chopra was a marketing intern at Yash Raj Films and was working in Rani Mukherjees managing team. She always wanted to be in the field of business and marketing and the career in acting happened accidently to her.

She was a costume designer and worked in the costume department for films like Mera Dil Leke Dekho in 2005, before Dabangg happened to her.
