First the world of movies and then books, and now it is going to be the sports industry, Aishwaryaa R Dhanush is set to broaden her horizon as an entrepreneur. She has become the co-owner of a Table Tennis team ‘Chennai Lions’.
The multi-talented producer and author have taken upon herself to promote the game. The league is made by the organisation Ultimate Table Tennis, which aims at promoting the game and winning the world cup for India by 2024.
Aishwaryaa, who co-owns the team with Sameer Bharatram, also posted a picture on her Instagram page and thanked the team.
She captioned it as, “Happy to come on board #Chennailions as Co-Owner with @sameerbharatram Thank you @vitadani7 n @ulttabletennis ..excited n looking forward to be a part of this journey in Indian Table Tennis #sportslover #newjourney.”
Says Aishwaryaa, “I have always enjoyed the game of Table Tennis and I am very happy to co-own the team. It’s a great privilege to partner with Sameer Bharatram. I am looking forward to make this game and this team successful because there is a lot of untapped potential in our country when it comes to table tennis.”
The accomplished author, who is going to release her second book, looks excited to be part of an exciting game of table tennis. The team of six, which be trained by India’s Muralidhara Rao and Germany’s Peter Engel.
